A REAL  HANDS ON EXPERIENCE FOR OUR FUTURE MOTORING ENTHUSIASTS

Our Pinewood Derby is a racing event for unpowered, unmanned miniature racing cars. The racers are made from kits containing a block of pinewood, plastic wheels, and metal axles. Once completed & ready to race, the cars are placed on a wooden race track which has a high starting point, the cars are released & gravity does the rest.

HOW IT WORKS:

Come along to our Triple Shot festival ON SUNDAY 14TH NOV 2021, head over to the Pinewood Derby Race track (Map link coming soon)

Grab a FREE Pinewood Derby Race Kit

Put it together with the help of mum, dad or one of our helpful Men's Shed volunteers

Add some colour & graphics

Then its race time

The race track is built by our professional, so it will be ready to race on. Its a long wooden  track (See pic below)

NOTES:

Our Pinewood Derby is all about fun & getting the kids involved in our event. Please don't take the racing side of this component too seriously, its all about the FUN!!!

No the kids do not need any experience. Nor does mum or dad. One of our helpful Men's Shed volunteers will be on hand to help

Yes you can build your own at home & bring it to race, but make sure it's with in these specs, otherwise it won't fit on our track & your efforts will be waisted as you won't be able to race.
